Award winning builder, Grand Contracting, Inc., created this exquisite home in conjunction with design professionals James K. Pool Architects and Associates, and Distinctive Design Interiors. Combining the talents of these three local firms produced a home that encompassed the best of mountain home building; a refined rustic feel as well as state of the art systems and energy efficiency. Custom details throughout this home accented the all around quality. Custom metal work could be seen in the draft hood, trusses, and railings. Soapstone and granite counter tops were throughout the home with custom tiled back splashes. Beautiful wide plank pine floors radiated with character throughout the great room and dining areas. The oversized mudroom was complete with a lock off area for the dogs including a custom doggie shower. Combining a wide variety of energy efficient, and environmentally responsible features including; spray foam insulation (Demilec Sealection 500), advanced framing techniques, LED and compact fluorescent lighting, Energy Star rated appliances, high efficiency plumbing fixtures, 95% efficient 2 stage furnace, whole house Energy Recovery Ventilator, wide plank pine floors utilizing “Beetle Kill” pine, and remote access security system allowed the owners' to adjust the temperature from anywhere in the world.
